GyoDal is a shift schedule calendar app for shift workers
GyoDal is a calendar app for shift workers. It is made for people whose shift schedule repeats in a pattern or changes often — nurses, police, firefighters, factory and security workers — who want to see their own work schedule and days off at a glance. There is no sign-up and no login, and the core features are free.

Build your roster from a photo or by hand, and share it without an account
- A photo of your roster becomes a calendar. Point the camera at a paper roster, or pick a screenshot from your gallery, and GyoDal reads the table and fills in the shift order and dates. It reads rosters in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese, whatever language the app is set to. You check and correct what it read before saving. Reading and checking are free. New users can save their first photo-imported roster without a subscription (once); saving after that is a paid feature.
- In South Korea you can search rosters in Browse and add one directly. We include only listed companies and their affiliates, public corporations and government bodies — each one checked by a person and by an agent. Search by company, site or region; it is free. If yours is not there, you can build the rotation yourself in about a minute.
- Set your shift order and a start date once, and the rotation fills the calendar. If your rotation is not in the catalogue, you build the order you actually work.
- When a shift changes or does not follow the pattern, edit that single date.
- Create up to six teams per preset and compare their shifts (for regular rotations).
- Three views: your own shifts, all teams in a preset, and rosters you received side by side.
- You can change how it looks. Rename shift types and set their abbreviations and colours, pick the app theme colour used for bars, buttons and accents, and choose a separate widget theme. Light and dark modes are both supported.
- Send a shift preset or schedule by link or QR code. No account on either side — the other person only needs GyoDal. Whoever receives it also gets any company holidays you added to the preset.
- Put received rosters on the same calendar and find the days everyone is off.
- Check your shift from the home screen without opening the app. Today and 3-day widgets are free; weekly and monthly widgets are a paid feature.
- Export your roster as an image or PDF to share or print.
- Sync with the system calendar to see your events alongside your shifts.
- See counts of worked days, days off, and basic, overtime, shortened and actual hours — by month or by your company's attendance start date. These figures are for reference.
- US federal holidays and observances from 1955 to 2050 are built in. Each entry was checked against primary sources such as statutes and executive orders, and past dates follow the rules in force at the time. Holidays that differ by state or employer you add yourself. The five countries where the app is available — the US, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam — each have their own holidays built in from that country's own primary sources.
- Data and backups are protected with AES-256 based encryption. Everything stays on the device by default; you can turn on Google Drive automatic backup if you want it.
What GyoDal does not do — alarms and pay on purpose, iOS not yet
Worth knowing before you decide.
- Alarms are left to your phone's alarm app — an alarm the app schedules itself dies under battery restrictions on exactly the night you need it. Not a gap, a choice. Today's shift and the next day off you check on the calendar and the home-screen widgets.
- Hours are totalled by shift type instead of a pay amount — base, overtime, reduced and actual hours. Pay depends on company rules and personal circumstances, and one wrong amount is the end of trust, so the amount stays with your payslip and the hours stay with GyoDal.
- It does not connect to company systems. In South Korea you can search the catalogue for your workplace; elsewhere you set the rotation yourself or receive it by link or QR.
- The searchable preset catalogue covers South Korea only. In the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam you build the order yourself or receive it by link or QR.
- No real-time sync. What you receive is stored on your device as of that moment.
- An iOS version is in the works. As of September 2026 the release date is not set.
- Available in South Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The core features are free with ads. Removing ads and unlocking extended sharing, widgets and features is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as one-time purchases you pick individually. Prices differ by country and change over time, so check Google Play for the current amount.
